What do you think about social media marketing?
How about # of follower?
Is it matter to you?
Some peoples said quality is more importance than quantity of follower.
Can be yes, can be not wrong :).
When you develop a new product and service, then launch it, you need a quantity.
You need as much as possible of large audience and customers.
You create a big promotion, big investment, and a lot of things to pull them apart from ordinary place.
Yes, but how about long term target?
Creating a new things, is easy, but boost and make it 10x times bigger, is another problems.
How many business that grow in first year? Many.
They grow rapidly, from nothing to something.
Then suddenly, it close within 3 years.
It similar with social media follower.
You can not create and just that’s it done.
It’s a continuous development, like Kai zen from Toyota.
Okay, lets get back to business.
1. You need to create a brand, your brand.
It’s not only company that have a branding, but you, as a personal, need it.
E.g. Do you have a specific artist? Why do you like them?
Personally, I like Catherine Zeta Zone, Julia Roberts, Tom Hanks, and Tom Cruise.
Why? They are brilliant, outstanding, and have a great positioning or branding.
Take one example – Tom Cruise is identical for Mission Impossible and action movie.
Julia Roberts for lovely and nice women (or maybe wife 🙂 ).
Who every they are, they have own positioning.
They make them selves as that point and level of branding.
So, make your social media as good as your self.
But, be honest and reflect your self.
2. Know your target and your selves.
Don’t too wide to set a target, it won’t works. Trust me.
Narrow it, choose the area that you are expert and capable most.
Like this website, focus on business and leisure.
It will makes me focus on provide you the best information and service.
Similar with new company, set a target and identify your self using SWOT analysis.
There are some blog related with Ferrari car and have a loyal readers.
They even wait and pay for rare information.
E.g. when you teach your children to walk, watch them.
Okay, lets try this. You stand away from children for 5 meters, asking them to walk to you.
Show them a favorite thing.
Then, children will walk to you, only focus on the target that still on your hand.
Works? Try for another 10 meters. It will same.
3. Continuous and consistent.
Create a new business or activity or website is not as simple as they seen.
Okay, you create a outstanding things, but, can it survive for 5 years?
You must learn and improve.
The best resources are comes from your customers.
E.g. Samsung. I bet you know this brand.
It’s an electronic brand. But did you know their first business?
I share it to you

So, ready to boost your social media follower?
Read other article, as follow.
A few “firsts” to get you started.
First, think like a brand.
When it comes to your social channels and the content you distribute on them, you need to think about yourself as a brand and a publishing brand at that. Come up with a unique positioning for the kind of content you want to put out there and use a consistently unique voice to make it all yours.
First, know who you are targeting.
Besides reaching a specific demographic, know why these people are interested in your brand. Once you’ve established your brand, you need to constantly keep your audience in mind when publishing content for them. Think about it through their eyes and ears and give them content that will improve their lives in some way. That way, as soon as they finish one piece of your content they’ll be looking for another — and another.
First, stay committed and deliver consistently.
Social media and content distribution is certainly not a “one and done” proposition. It takes a commitment to produce on a regular schedule, because your audience will learn to expect it from you. This should actually be your goal, so don’t disappoint just because you get busy with something else. I suggest mapping it out ahead of time in a calendar so that you always have a guide to follow, no matter the other demands on your time.
